Part-Time Studio Assistant

Position Title: Studio Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Refuge Aerial Fitness & Performance, LLC
Reports To: Studio Owner
Compensation: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 2–3 hours per day between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM. A consistent weekly schedule will be established upon hiring. Some weekend availability is required and will be scheduled in advance. 

Position Overview:

Refuge Aerial Fitness & Performance is seeking a dependable, organized, and welcoming Studio Assistant to support daily studio operations and help create an exceptional experience for our students and families. We are looking for someone who takes pride in creating a friendly and professional environment and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support the success of the studio. 

Key Responsibilities:

This role combines front desk support, client service, administrative assistance, and facility organization. Responsibilities include welcoming students, assisting with scheduling and bookings, maintaining studio supplies and cleanliness, supporting communication with students and parents, updating information within our studio management software, and assisting with special events and studio projects.

The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable balancing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential. Experience in customer service, administrative support, or the fitness, dance, or performing arts industry is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Comfortable working in an environment that serves children, teens, and adults

  • Friendly and professional when interacting with students, parents, instructors, and visitors

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask

  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn studio management systems

  • Professional, positive, and reliable

  • Able to handle client concerns and conflict professionally and calmly

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take initiative and identify ways to support the studio

  • Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism regarding studio operations and client information

  • Knowledge of studio rigging a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand, walk, and move throughout the studio during shifts

  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

  • Comfortable performing light cleaning, organizing equipment, stocking supplies, and other studio upkeep tasks
